Our wine list
Serge Verboven has long held a deep-rooted passion for fine wine. It is no coincidence, then, that Marcel's wine list has been honoured with prestigious awards more than once. Since 2019 we have been recognised by Wine Spectator, which awarded our selection its Best of Award of Excellence. Star Wine List and The World of Fine Wine have discovered and rewarded our list as well.
With more than 800 carefully chosen references, our list paints a rich palette of flavours and traditions. The emphasis lies on the classic regions: Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Piedmont and Tuscany. But we make a point of giving a stage to a few more unexpected appellations as well. Our wines are fairly priced, with a generous selection offered at a maximum of 65 euro. More than fifty wines are available by the glass, for those who enjoy a more adventurous journey.
Beyond the quality of the wine itself, we care about the experience of drinking it. Our finest bottles are always served in Grassl glassware, which lifts the tasting to a higher level. Our sommelier Jon Stalmans, with many years of experience behind him, is always on hand to guide you through the rich landscape of wines Marcel has to offer.
